Job overview
We wish to appoint a motivated, committed and enthusiastic member of our Support Staff team. The post offers a fantastic opportunity for you to work with an existing team of experienced professionals in a role which is wide-ranging and for which you will receive appropriate training and support. The role will be based within the Inclusion Team, and the primary purposes are to provide appropriate support and taught interventions to identified students or small groups, support SEND students in classrooms and provide effective pastoral and academic support for students working within The Hub. Occasionally, you may be asked to provide cover for classes in the absence of a teacher.
This role is for 38 weeks per annum, term time plus INSET, 37.25 hours per week.
Wellacre Academy is an 11–16 all-boys’ school set in the heart of Trafford. We have high expectations for all our students, and our policies and practices are values-driven. Alongside our lessons, we provide a rich and diverse co-curricular programme that develops character and inspires our students. Our Support Staff are encouraged to contribute to the co-curricular provision. We all work together to instil a strong sense of belonging for all, which enables students to succeed and become active members of the community as they move into adulthood.
We are committed to the professional development of all our staff. The TDT Gold Award report said, ‘All staff feel supported to grow and develop in their careers, which is testament to the way in which leaders are continually seeking out new challenges and responsibilities for individual members of staff based on their strengths and needs.’ There is an excellent induction programme for all new staff in addition to opportunities for further professional development.
We are keen to ensure that you have as much information as possible to proceed with your application.
