IT Support Technician Apprentice (full time, full year)
Working 37 hours per week Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:00am and 5:30pm, full year, including study time with flexibility required.
You will learn how to help provide a quality support service to computer network users, in accordance with College policies including:
· Assisting in ensuring the efficient operation of the College Information Technology and Technical systems.
· Assisting in the support of staff and students using the college computer network and ancillary systems.
· Assisting in the installation and maintenance of computer equipment and software and related hardware.
· Assisting in fault diagnosis and testing of hardware, software and infrastructure and to make repairs where possible.
We are looking for a candidate who has:
· Committed to completing a Level 3 HR Apprenticeship.
· Good standard of general education, 5 GCSE’s grades 9-4, including Maths and English Language.
· An IT qualification (would be advantageous).
· An interest in working in a busy environment which has young people as the prime focus.
Annual Salary £22,011
This is a fixed term contract that will end 18 months after the start date

Luton Sixth Form College is a specialist Sixth Form College, providing academic and general vocational education for 16 to 18 year olds in Luton.
Established in September 1966, we are the oldest Sixth Form College in the country and have an enviable reputation for quality and excellence. We are also one of the largest, with more than 2,800 students taking a vast array of A Level and BTEC courses.

The College is located in a quiet residential area in the north of Luton, with easy access from the town centre, A505, A6 and M1. Our site was redeveloped between 2008 and 2010 and the original grammar school buildings were replaced by a £56m campus offering state-of-the-art facilities and modern resources for staff and students.
