Are you passionate about IT and looking to make a real difference?

We're on the lookout for a dynamic IT Technician to join our committed and innovative support team at Christ the King School, part of the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Multi-Academy Trust. If you're driven by problem-solving, thrive in a fast-paced educational environment, and want to contribute to the future of our students, this could be the role for you!

As an IT Technician, you’ll be at the heart of our school’s technology ecosystem, providing critical technical support and hands-on guidance to staff, ensuring smooth operation of both software and hardware in classrooms. Your role will also involve installing, customising, and maintaining ICT equipment, keeping our systems running seamlessly, and supporting our vision for digital learning.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience in IT support – you’ve worked in similar environments and know how to troubleshoot and deliver practical solutions.
  • Qualifications – you hold an IT qualification (Level 2 or equivalent) and have a strong foundation in Maths and English (GCSE Grade C or above).
  • A passion for technology, and a desire to share that enthusiasm with both staff and students.

What you’ll do:

  • Be the go-to person for in-house IT support, resolving issues with confidence.
  • Collaborate with a proactive, forward-thinking team.
  • Ensure all our IT systems, from hardware to software, run at their best, so that teachers can focus on what they do best – inspiring our students.

Why choose us? At Christ the King, we’re not just about providing excellent education – we’re about fostering a community where staff and students alike can thrive. As part of our team, you’ll enjoy:

  • A competitive salary starting at £23,893, with annual increments up to £25,119 per annum.
  • A supportive environment where your skills will be valued, and you’ll have opportunities to grow professionally.
  • The chance to work with enthusiastic students who are eager to learn and be part of their success story.
  • Automatic enrolment in the Local Government Pension Scheme, offering outstanding benefits with generous employer contributions.
  • Access to our Employee Assistance Programme – providing emotional, financial, and legal support for you and your family.
  • Health and wellbeing support from our occupational health provider, plus staff discounts and a Cycle-to-Work scheme.

One of the main advantages of being a smaller that average secondary school is that we are small enough to create and maintain a caring, sharing Catholic ethos within the school whilst being large enough to give a wide range of curriculum and other opportunities to all of our students.

We are a well-equipped, purpose built Catholic Secondary School situated in a pleasant suburban area to the North-East of Nottingham.  We strive to ensure that each young person is safe, happy and successful and we pride ourselves on providing an excellent educational experience.

Our school is part of the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Multi-Academy Trust which brings together the 36 Catholic Primary and Secondary schools in Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire. Our priority is to ensure the very best Catholic Education for all young people in our community, whatever their circumstances. We will achieve this together, through a strategic approach to sharing best practice, effective challenge and support from a central standards and performance team and opportunities for high quality Continuing Professional Development offered by the CMAT’s teaching school, The Nottingham Initial Teacher Training Hub.
