The Role:
Are you passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)?
We are looking for a dedicated Job Coach to join our team on a Full-time, term time only basis. In this role, you will support young people with SEND in developing work-based skills and achieving success in their work placements in a café.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored coaching and support to learners with SEND in their work placements.
- Collaborate with tutors, managers, employers, families, and external agencies to create a supportive work environment.
- Assist learners in building essential skills, such as time management, customer service, and catering.
- Conduct health and safety checks and create risk assessments for work placements.
- Develop and adapt employability plans to meet individual needs, promoting growth and independence.
- Support learners in overcoming barriers to employment and ensure their well-being at all times.
Skills/Experience:
- Experience supporting young people with SEND in work settings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to creating inclusive work opportunities for people with SEND.
- Relevant teaching or coaching qualifications (e.g., Level 4 CET or equivalent).
- Experience in the hospitality industry is desirable.
