KITCHEN ASSISTANT REQUIRED
Hours: 4 hours daily (20 hours weekly), Monday to Friday 10.30-2.30pm, term time only
Salary: 14,388.63
The Head Teacher and Governors seek to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly and hardworking team. Our dedicated kitchen team produce and serve 620 delicious hot meals to children every day.

Context and purpose:
To assist the Chef and Assistant Kitchen Manager in the provision of catering services.
Main Duties
· The basic preparation of food and beverages e.g., hot food, fresh vegetables, salads etc
· Simple cooking duties
· Serving of meals
· General kitchen duties e.g., washing up, unloading deliveries etc
· Cleaning the kitchen, the surrounding areas and equipment
· Awareness and knowledge of basic food safety and hygiene principles
· Willingness to work as part of a staff team
· To undertake such other duties as may reasonably be expected
Please note, these duties reflect the core activities of the role and as the post holder develops there will inevitably be changes in the emphasis of duties. It is expected that the post holder will recognise this and adopt a flexible approach to work and participate in training when required.
