Job overview

The Pointer School is an Independent Christian Prep and pre-Prep school in Blackheath, Southeast London. We are seeking a hardworking and dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our dynamic catering team.

A Kitchen Assistant is responsible for:

  • Basic food preparation;
  • Washing up, cleaning and clearing all kitchen areas;
  • Serving food to the children and staff;
  • Unloading and putting away deliveries;
  • Emptying bins, sweeping and mopping floors;
  • Ensuring all equipment is clean and put away correctly;
  • Deep cleaning fridges and store rooms to maintain sanitary and kitchen safety standards;

Working hours are 8am – 3.30pm Monday to Friday and is term-time only (18 weeks holiday per year). The position will commence as soon as possible.
