Job overview

Thank you for your interest in the position of KS2 Class Teacher with St John Chrysostom Federation. This is a great time to join our successful team.

Our schools are long established schools situated in the heart of the local community and close to the Manchester University and the Manchester Royal Infirmary. We value the support of both the Manchester Diocese and Manchester City Local Authority. Each school is unique within our Federation although staff do meet each term for training events and to share good practice.

At St. John Chrysostom Federation we nurture and support pupils in a vibrant and multicultural community which lives by the values of love, compassion and respect. Our children are encouraged to develop their full potential, ready for their next steps in life. We believe that the keys to success are happiness, a love of learning and an environment where children feel supported, respected and safe. Every child is precious and it is a privilege to play a part in their development. Their overall well-being is of paramount importance and at the centre of our school ethos.

St. John Chrysostom Federation is in a secure financial position and you will be joining well-resourced schools with a dynamic senior team as the schools expands to accept more children over the coming years. Our children have recently been provided with new buildings, containing classes with the latest technology and teaching aids. Maintaining a creative and engaging curriculum in a great environment is our daily goal.

Our staff teams come from a wide range of backgrounds but we are united in our belief that Manchester is a great place to live and work. With events, facilities and attractions to suit every lifestyle, Manchester is lively and culturally diverse. If you are ready for your next step and want to work in a dynamic team please do apply.

Our school leaders continue to work hard to foster a culture of learning amongst our staff team and we pride ourselves on the quality training and support of new teachers to our federation.

This post is a permanent post and we would welcome applications from ECTs.

A temporary recruitment and retention allowance can be discussed for the right candidate.

Please call Jennifer Scott (HR Manager) to have an informal discussion about the role.   A school visit has been arranged for Wednesday 9th October at 4pm. This will take place at St Chrysostom's Primary

School, Lincoln Grove, Longsight. Please e-mail j.scott@sjcfederation.co.uk to register your attendance.
