Moreton School is looking for an inspiring and experienced French teacher (with Spanish also considered) to join us as Lead Practitioner of MFL. This is a role for a dedicated professional with a proven track record of success in the classroom, a passion for teaching, and a desire to drive innovation and excellence. You’ll thrive here if you are motivated by the opportunity to shape the future of MFL education, share best practices, and make a meaningful impact on both staff and students.

As proud members of the Amethyst Academies Trust, we are committed to providing exceptional opportunities for every student, ensuring they are fully prepared for further education and the world of work. Our school benefits from a strong sense of togetherness and collaboration, as well as an ambitious vision to deliver excellence in all we do.

In this role, you’ll support the experienced Subject Leader in enhancing the quality of teaching and learning in MFL, raising attainment, and improving outcomes for all students. You’ll also work closely with the Deputy Headteacher and the Teaching and Learning team to bring greater consistency to teaching across the school, ensuring that every classroom is a place where students can thrive. You’ll be a champion for the value of studying languages, equipping students with cultural awareness, communication skills, and global perspectives essential for success in the modern world.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need to be an outstanding teacher with a deep understanding of your subject and the ability to teach French to a high standard (and Spanish, if applicable). You’ll be an innovator, a mentor, and a role model for excellence, ready to help shape the CPD programme and support colleagues in their professional growth.

At Moreton, we believe in the power of education to transform lives. We are committed to creating a vibrant community where every child feels valued and inspired.
