Ashville College, Harrogate, is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Learning Support Teaching Assistant to join the Learning Support Team.
This is a fixed term contract for 6 months, working part time, 32 hours per week over 4 days, and five ‘plus days’ to be worked outside term time.
The successful candidates will be required to support pupils across all aspects of the school day with a focus on supporting them in lessons. The role will also involve working on a 1:1 basis with a pupil with medical and learning needs.
The salary for this role is £19,113 per annum. Other benefits include free parking, free lunch, free access to the College’s gym and swimming pool for you and your family, along with longer school holidays and staff fee remissions.

Ashville College is a co-educational, independent school for day and boarding pupils aged 2–18. The college, set in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, comprises a pre-school, prep school and senior school with pupil numbers totaling around 870, 170 of whom are in the sixth form and 100 are boarders. The school is a registered charity, administered by Ashville College Trustees.
Ashville College was founded in 1877 as a boarding school for boys by the United Methodist Free Church. Expansion over the decades culminated in a merger with Elmfield College, Harrogate, in the 1930s, by which time Ashville was the largest private school in the north of England. The most significant development came in 1982 when the school become co-educational.
