Lecturer in Public Services

We are excited to share that we have the opportunity for a Lecturer to join our Public Services department. This role is a part-time (0.2) hourly paid position.

Responsibilities

As part of this role, you will deliver Level 2 and 3 Public Services in line with the college’s aims and objectives for this area’s curriculum plan. You will work closely with management, colleagues and students to ensure success for both college and students. Your confidence and excellent communication skills will also ensure a great partnership with our stakeholders too.

You will engage in innovative teaching practices, provide mentorship, and assess student progress to ensure they achieve their full potential.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

This is a great opportunity for individuals with previous experience in Public Services to help shape the future of our department. Not only will you be leading tutorship on the course and sharing your experience and knowledge but you always be creating opportunities for students, including work experience. You will be motivated and have great interpersonal skills and an ability to engage, motivate and support mixed ability learners. You may be asked to attend residentials and enrichments trips as part of your role.

To be successful you will have an academic background in Public Services or working in the community, alongside a recognised teaching qualification, (L5 or above) or willing to work towards obtaining this qualification. You will be able to combine this with your ability to teach and inspire students.
