The Role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and reliable Mechatronics lecturer to join our energetic and expanding construction team.

Key Responsibilities:

To teach and assess learning on a range of Mechatronics Engineering courses, which include 16-19, adult learners and apprentices. Courses range from level 2 to HNC. 

Mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, electronic engineering, and also includes a combination of robotics, computer science, microcontrollers programming (e.g Arduino, Picaxe, PLCs), systems, control, and product engineering.

BTEC(Pearson) and C & G).

You will have excellent communication and organisational skills and be able to deliver effectively and engage students in their learning. You must be highly flexible and able to respond to the differing needs of all our students.

About New City College Havering - Rainham Campus

  

Havering College of Further and Higher Education and Havering Sixth Form College are now part of the New City College Group. 

Rainham is currently our Construction Centre for students engaged in learning the trades of Bricklaying, Carpentry, Multi-Skills and Painting & Decorating. There are also courses such as Construction & The Built Environment for students aiming for managerial roles within the industry.  

We are currently engaged in a £15m redevelopment of the site which is scheduled for completion by the end of 2020 or early in 2021 and will see a new specialist training facility interlinked to the fully refurbished current building, creating a Construction and Engineering Centre that will offer state-of-the-art facilities. Once completed the new centre will offer courses in Plumbing, Engineering and Electrical, alongside the current courses. 

From September we expect to have in the region of 1,200 students being educated at Rainham.
