A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen in our Library Resource Centre.

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Librarian to join our academy. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with excellent organisational skills, a passion for student support and a commitment to promoting a culture of reading for pleasure.

The role offers a varied and fulfilling day including managing and developing our school library (including the selection, acquisition and organisation of books and other resources) and promoting the library and its resources to students, staff and parents (this will include lunchtime and after school events for special occasions such as World Book Day and Black History Month).

You will work closely with the English and Literacy departments carrying out 1:1/small group reading interventions and delivery of the timetabled library lessons (for which all training will be provided).

You will also attend meetings and CPD events with the Co-op Academies Trust Librarian Network in order to collaborate and share best practice with other academies across the trust.

An excellent career and professional development offer is also at the heart of the academy’s commitment to you. In addition you will have the opportunity to link with other Co-operative Academies across the North West. Our core co-operative values define us. Every member of staff in our academy follows our ‘Ways of Being’;

Do what matters most | Be yourself, always | Show you care | Succeed together
