About the role

We are currently seeking a Qualified Teacher of Maths to deliver Edexcel GCSE course content for 16-19 year-olds at The Fashion Retail Academy, an FE college in the heart of London. QTS and classroom teaching experience preferred. August CPD weeks for September start. 

As a Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for up to 4 classes and will take part in designing engaging lesson plans, delivering quality mathematics education, and developing innovative curriculum content to support students' learning and progression in the field. You will monitor the attendance of your groups and put into place the necessary strategies and actions to maximise student participation. At the end of the year, students resit their Maths GCSE in a summer examination, and study towards this is the commitment students undertake in order to pursue their chosen fashion course at The Fashion Retail Academy.  


About you

It is essential that you have a comprehensive understanding of GCSE Maths curricula and examination processes, with considerable teaching experience of Maths. 

  • You will have a positive attitude, be flexible in your approach and absolutely committed to the best outcomes for your students. 
  • Excellent organisational, communication and time management skills are essential for this role.
  • Ideally you will have worked with a similar cohort of students to the FRA, have a further education background or have worked in a college or high school. 
  • Relevant experience of the retail industry will be an advantage.
