RAK Academy Al Rams 

Located in northern Ras Al Khaimah city in the Al Rams Township. RAK Academy Al Rams is a small-sized primary school delivering an adapted UK National Curriculum from Pre-K to Grade 5 (FS1 to Year 6) and the UAE MOE subjects. RAK Academy Al Rams is accredited by the British Schools Overseas (BSO), benchmarked against leading international British schools. The school comprises of an Emirati community and all of the children are Arabic A and Islamic A students within the school.

The Role 

RAK Academy Al Rams is looking for a positive, driven and inspirational leader of MOE subjects to join our team from August 2025 to drive our MOE subjects towards outstanding.

  • Manage the curriculum of the Arabic, UAE Social Studies, Moral Education, and Islamic Studies programs and provide leadership in the assessment and development of a standards-based quality, compliant, curriculum.
  • Develop the teaching and learning of MOE subjects by evaluating teaching and learning, coaching and mentoring as well as offering CPD opportunities to MOE staff members.
  • Teach Arabic A across multiple grade levels.
  • Model exemplary teaching and the use of classical Arabic.
  • Engage with our parent community around MOE subjects.
  • Promote the use of Arabic language and the MOE subjects around the school and community through innovation.
  • Be confident in leading MOE subjects within the MOE Inspection Framework criteria.


Essential: 

  • Previous leadership experience in a similar role preferably in the UAE.
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Arabic Studies or a related course. 
  • Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). 
  • Have a proven track record of excellent classroom and pedagogical practice. 
  • Suitably qualified to lead/teach MOE subjects. 
  • Strong ability to use technology to support teaching and learning. 
  • Be able to engage, motivate and support children, staff and parents. 
  • Be a reflective practitioner with the ability to think creatively and innovate. 
  • Be a positive and enthusiastic member of staff. 
  • Be willing to be fully involved in extra-curricular activities. 
  • Most importantly, fully subscribe to the maxim that “all complex decision-making be based on what constitutes best practice for the child”.
