The Nursery Manager will play a pivotal role in the continued growth and development of our beautiful Nursery which benefits from incredible indoor and outdoor learning spaces – including our own Early Years nature area, Little Meadow.

The Nursery is an integral part of our thriving Prep School, and enjoys the extensive site facilities including forest school, farm, dining room, swimming pool and playing fields. We are looking for someone with great Nursery experience, who will work with us to manage and further develop our Nursery whilst ensuring we retain the independent school feel and quality of provision that we are known for.

King Edward VI Preparatory School is a thriving and happy co-ed independent school for pupils from age 2 to 11, and is the feeder school to King Edward VI, Southampton. The school occupies its own spacious 22-acre site on the outskirts of Romsey and enjoys the many benefits of being part of a through school, whilst retaining a unique identity as a rural nursery and prep school with a nurturing, family feel.

We offer a range of benefits including a competitive contributory pension scheme; generous annual leave of 31 days, rising to 36 days with service; reduction in school fees at King Edward VI Prep and Senior; free lunch and refreshments, free parking, and a Health Cash Plan.

Do not miss this extraordinary chance to help shape something truly special. We would love to show you around or have an informal conversation, so contact us today to find out more!

King Edward VI Preparatory School is a thriving and happy co-ed independent school for pupils from Nursery to Year 6, and is the feeder school to King Edward VI, Southampton. The prep school enjoys the many benefits of being part of a 2-18 organisation whilst retaining a unique identity as a rural school with a strong family feel.

Our ethos is to nurture and support our pupils, so that they flourish and exceed their expectations in their learning, interests, relationships and emotional development. Our goal is that they become intellectually curious, resilient, confident and ready for their next steps.

Pupils have access to a wide range of high quality learning resources at KES Prep including a well-stocked library, science laboratory, IT suites, cookery, art, technology and music rooms. Interactive whiteboards, iPads, virtual reality headsets and green screens also enhance pupils’ learning.

KES Prep is a warm and welcoming place to work and develop as an individual and leader. We encourage staff to take on positions of responsibility and value our staff highly for going above and beyond to support the wider life of the school.
