Stephenson Academy provides education for students both male and female aged between 9 and 16 years. We are the local SEN provision for students with social emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). We pride ourselves on delivering a high-quality curriculum, truly individualised to meet the needs of our students, ensuring successful outcomes for all.

Office Manager – Stephenson Academy

Salary – £29,458.00 - £31,020.00 per annum (Range 5 / Point 25-27 on the SMKT pay scales, FTE: £33,945.00 - £35,745.00 per annum)

Working Hours – 37 hours per week / 39 weeks per year (TTO+2)

We are seeking: 

A highly organised and focused individual who will be responsible for overseeing the daily administration of the Stephenson Academy including line managing administrative staff. This individual will also be responsible for all administrative, financial invoicing and organisational processes within the academy, always maintaining confidentiality when assisting with all the planning and development of support services. 

As Office Manager you will -

  • Support the Head Teacher
  • Ensure the smooth and effective running of the Academy and all administrative and communicative systems.
  • Deputise / support PA with Governance where required
  • Line manage all STA administrative/reception team

Stephenson Academy is a successful 80 place special school, which opened in 2012. It has a main site, which caters for 11-16 year olds. We have an associated independent sixth form provision for 16-19 year olds.

As a specialist academy we cater for students who have Education and Health Care Plans with an identified primary need of Social Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties (SEMH), many with associated challenging behaviour. Many of our students have additional special educational needs such as speech, language and communication difficulties, Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and mental health difficulties.
