Job overview

Are you passionate about education, building relationships and creating opportunities for the community?

Join St. Edward’s in what is a vital moment as we seek to grow our wider community engagement programme.

The School’s community programme has been a growing initiative in recent years, working with local primary schools and charities in North Oxford. As Partnerships Manager you will play a key role facilitating this growth.

You will develop the School’s partnerships programme, where pupils throughout the school are able to learn about the charity sector, the importance of volunteering, their role and potential impact in the community and how their skills and experience can be developed with our partner organisations.

Previously, our partnerships programme has raised over £66,000 for various charities, provided over 7000 free lunches for charities and schools in the area, and provided support to charities and schools with various activities, such as music and sporting events and educational workshops.

You will need to proactively manage the programme and all pupils involved, in addition to developing and maintaining relationships with partner organisations and schools who are involved. You will also recruit willing volunteers from the teaching staff to go out to our partner organisations, giving their time and skills on a voluntary basis.

Additional responsibilities will include general administration of the community programme and related marketing, as well as working with the sports department and external partners to run sporting and other events.

Experience of working specifically in an educational setting, particularly within independent or private schools, is essential.

Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining relationships with various stakeholders, including businesses, community organisations and educational institutions is also essential.

Strong organisational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously are equally important.
