Canon Slade School is a member of the Bishop Fraser Trust, a C of E multi academy trust established in 2017. This is an exciting time to join us as it provides a great opportunity to work closely with the other three High Schools in the MAT - St James’s CE High School, Bolton St Catherine’s Academy and Bury CE High School; sharing good practice and building on our ongoing progress.

Main Duties:

Assist with the pastoral duties of a year group, under the direction of the Head of Year. The current vacancy is for a Year 7 Pastoral Assistant (the year group may change in future academic years).

The successful candidate will be someone who:

• is a great team player, friendly, professional and motivated to provide excellent customer service
• has a passion for seeing young people thrive and achieve their full potential, having high expectations for students’ attainment and personal development
• demonstrates personal integrity and professionalism and role models those personal qualities we wish to instil in our students
• has a detailed knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
• has the ability and willingness to work flexibly to meet the demands of the role
• is able to work independently, under pressure and to deadlines
• has excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to form positive, professional and empathetic relationships with colleagues

The working hours will be:

Monday to Friday

7.5hrs x 4 days, 7hrs x 1 day (30 mins unpaid lunch every day
