Job overview

Treloar’s is a charity which runs one of the UK’s largest specialist education centres for young disabled people to live and learn. Through our school and college, we offer students the opportunity to fully take part in life and achieve their aspirations.

We are looking to recruit five Personal Assistants for our students. This role involves supporting students in their work placements to ensure they are able to participate and access their working environment. You will also be required to support the students to access their learning programme on site and support them in all aspects of their personal care both on and off site. The hours for this role are Monday – Friday 9.00-4.00 with the opportunity to increase hours if desired.

You will need to be able to work autonomously, using your own initiative. You will hold qualifications in English and Maths at grade C or above (or equivalent) Ideally you will hold a Level 2 or 3 qualification in a relevant subject or be willing to work towards this. You will need to be able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team whilst having the ability to work under pressure. You will have good communication and people skills, supporting our students in a variety of working environments.
