Job overview

After School Clubs at Hinchley Wood Primary and Thames Ditton Junior Schools

Two – four - afternoon sessions/week, term time only

We are looking for enthusiastic Playworkers to join our teams at Hinchley Wood Primary School and Thames Ditton Junior School, and assist in the delivery of a range of high-quality recreational and educational activities for children attending our after-school clubs.

The ideal candidate will be a team player, able to build positive relationships with children and colleagues, and contribute towards providing a fun, safe environment.

Duties will include the support and supervision of children attending and promoting their general care and welfare. Previous experience working with, or supporting young children between 4 – 11 years, would be advantageous although not essential as training will be provided.

This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who enjoys working with children and wants to balance work with other commitments. The role is term time only, and we are looking for staff to work between two – four sessions per week, from 3 – 6pm.

Joining at either school, you will be part of the Hinchley Wood Learning Partnership.

We offer:

  • Family-friendly term-time working.
  • Competitive salary and annual performance progression.
  • Two weeks’ autumn half-term.
  • Staff benefits & discount scheme.
  • Occupational health and employee assistance programme.
  • Free use of the Gym at HWS.
  • Supportive team and professional development support.
  • Membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme with generous employer contribution.

We welcome early applications and interest. Please do contact us if you have additional queries.

Latest closing date for applications is 9am, Monday 25 November 2024.

Hinchley Wood Learning Partnership (HWLP) is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
