We’re looking to recruit Primary English Teacher to join our NAS Nantong, a Nord Anglia Education school.
THE SCHOOL
NAS Nantong opens in September 2019 and provides a state of the art teaching and learning environment to up to 1728 students. The unique international learning experience at NAS Nantong will offer students aged 6 -18 years old the best of eastern and western education resources and philosophies. The bilingual curriculum will be based on the Jiangsu K-12 curriculum blended with globally respected international curriculum elements and teaching methods. Students will gain a solid foundation of Chinese culture, whilst equipping them with the knowledge and skills they will need to be successful in an increasingly globalised world. The school is located in Nantong Sutong area, the campus covers an area of 71 acres, which can accommodate 1728 students and 864 boarders; providing the perfect environment for a well-rounded education.

ABOUT YOU
As a Primary English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective English language instruction to young learners in a bilingual setting. You will create a supportive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages students to develop their language skills and academic potential. Collaboration with fellow teachers and staff is essential to ensure a cohesive and integrated educational experience for our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the school’s curriculum and standards.
- Teach English language skills, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening, using a variety of instructional strategies and resources.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with varying levels of English proficiency.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes respect, cooperation, and active learning.
- Establish and maintain clear expectations for behavior and academic performance.
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to address and resolve conflicts and behavioral issues.
- Assess and monitor students' progress through formative and summative assessments.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents regarding academic performance and areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers, including bilingual and subject-specific teachers, to ensure a cohesive educational approach.
- Participate in regular staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding students' progress, needs, and achievements.
