International Community Schools Abu Dhabi is searching for a passionate, dedicated, and dynamic Primary Teacher dedicated, and dynamic Primary Teacher to join our teaching team. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of child-centered learning and be committed to nurturing each student’s individual growth and development. This role requires an engaging, enthusiastic educator who can create a positive, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons in alignment with the school’s curriculum guidelines.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods and materials to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Incorporate technology and innovative approaches to enhance lesson effectiveness and student engagement.
  • Design and implement assessments that measure student understanding and progress toward learning objectives.
  • Regularly assess, record, and report on students' academic performance and personal development.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to support their growth, addressing areas needing improvement.
  • Establish a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment that encourages positive interactions and minimizes disruptions.
  • Encourage student responsibility, discipline, and teamwork within the classroom.
  • Monitor and support students’ social and emotional well-being, intervening as needed in collaboration with school counselors.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to share insights on student progress, school activities, and ways to support learning at home.
  • Participate in school events, meetings, and parent-teacher conferences as required.
  • Actively engage in ongoing professional development opportunities, staying current with educational best practices and advancements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share strategies, plan cross-curricular activities, and foster a collaborative learning environment.
  • Model the values and mission of ICS Abu Dhabi, contributing positively to school culture and demonstrating professionalism in all interactions.
  • Uphold ICS’s dedication to inclusivity, respect for diversity, and fostering a global perspective within the school community.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Primary Education or a related field. An advanced degree or teaching certification is highly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of teaching experience in a primary school setting, preferably within an international school or similar context.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills. Native or near-native level proficiency is preferred.
  • Classroom Skills: Excellent organizational, classroom management, and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with diverse educational practices and modern teaching techniques.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in using educational technology and digital resources to support learning.
