Role Overview
As a Primary School Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that incorporate project-based learning to enrich children’s understanding. You will play a key role in creating a positive, stimulating environment that promotes curiosity, independence, and social-emotional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver lessons that align with the British curriculum, incorporating project-based approaches that encourage hands-on learning and cross-curricular connections.
- Use a range of teaching strategies to engage students actively and develop essential skills such as communication, creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
- Monitor, assess, and document children’s progress, using data to inform planning and communicate effectively with parents.
- Create an inclusive classroom environment that supports children with diverse needs, including those with SEND and EAL.
- Maintain a safe and positive classroom atmosphere that promotes children’s well-being, confidence, and respect.
- Collaborate with colleagues, subject specialists, and parents to support each child’s learning journey.
- Uphold the school’s safeguarding policies, ensuring the welfare of all children in your care.
Qualifications and Skills:
- BEd (Hons) with QTS or equivalent OR University Degree with PGCE
- Native English Speaker.
- Experience teaching in a Primary School Setting, preferably within an international or multicultural environment.
- Strong understanding of child development and play-based learning approaches.
- Commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion, and student well-being.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Familiarity with UK and Ireland safeguarding practices and policies.
