We have a newly-refurbished Centre providing state-of-the-art classrooms, workshops and studios for our students on a wide variety of provision that ranges from courses for 16-19-year-olds to adult qualifications to short courses in creative areas like jewellery, glass and ceramics. Students and staff also benefit from an excellent performance space, the Morley Heart Gardens, Morley Gallery, Morley Radio studios, and other amazing spaces for learning collaboratively.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the leadership and co-ordination of accredited and non-accredited courses across all levels of a wide-ranging provision which includes Health and Social Care, Early Years and Education, and Public Services. You will be further be responsible for advising the students, quality assurance, and the management of lecturers and other departmental resources. Furthermore, you will have the exciting role of leading this growing programme area’s curriculum development, with new course development and approval by the awarding organisation.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Relevant subject-specific qualification at degree level or above
  • DTLLS /PGCE / Cert Ed/ Level 5 Diploma in Education & Training or equivalent.
  • Enthusiasm for the subject taught with up-to-date subject knowledge and understanding of relevant pedagogical development in the teaching of Health, Social Care, and Early Years subjects.
  • Proven experience in leading BTEC, NCFE, and HE programmes in relevant subjects.
  • A good understanding of quality assurance, current quality frameworks and commitment to customer care, with the ability to deliver quality improvement and an excellent learner experience.
  • Experience in curriculum development with the ability to develop the programme to increase market share.
