Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Psychology to IB DP Diploma level (grades 11 & 12) students, following international curriculum standards.
- Develop and deliver engaging lessons on psychological theories and human behaviour that foster inquiry and critical thinking.
- Create differentiated learning plans to cater to diverse learning styles and student needs.
- Assess and monitor student progress regularly, providing feedback to ensure academic growth.
- Use technology and innovative teaching practices to make complex psychological concepts accessible.
- Contribute to extra-curricular programs, such as workshops or clubs related to psychology or mental well-being.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create an interdisciplinary learning environment aligned with IB philosophy.
- Mentor students in both academic and personal development, fostering a supportive learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and development.
- Ensure teaching aligns with school values and the IB framework, promoting inquiry-based learning and student-centred approaches.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A degree in Psychology or a related field, with a recognized teaching qualification.
- 5 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international or IB school, with a focus on IB DP Diploma level.
- Strong knowledge of child and adolescent psychology, with the ability to convey complex concepts to younger students.
- Experience with inquiry-based learning and familiarity with the IB DP Programme.
- Proven ability to create an inclusive classroom environment that encourages critical thinking.
- Proficiency in technology integration to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
- Excellent communication skills, fluency in English (basic knowledge of French is an advantage).
- A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues.
- A passion for professional development and innovation in education.
- A commitment to supporting students’ overall well-being through extra-curricular engagement.
