Are you a compassionate and skilled healthcare professional looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students? We are seeking an experienced School Nurse to join our dedicated team.

Healthcare Provision and Supervision:

  • Manage and supervise Health Centre (BHS), providing first aid and healthcare to all members of the school community.
  • Care for sick, injured, or distressed pupils, coordinating further care with parents or hospitals as required.

Health Monitoring and Management:

  • Review, monitor, and accurately record the health status of new boarders and day pupils in line with the national Child Health Programme.
  • Develop and implement in-school care plans for pupils with long-term conditions or additional health requirements.
  • Ensure all student medical records are kept up-to-date and accurately maintained in the school database.
  • Advise on the development of health-related policies and support emergency planning, including outbreak responses.

Safeguarding and Welfare:

  • Collaborate with the safeguarding team to identify and support pupils at risk of abuse or neglect.
  • Assist the wellbeing hub in implementing effective welfare plans for vulnerable pupils.
  • Monitor student health patterns and refer concerns to the appropriate teams.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Registered Nurse with valid qualifications and licensing.
  • Proven experience in school nursing, pediatric care, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding policies and healthcare confidentiality.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, parents, and external health agencies.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Term Time + 5 Weeks)
