Hours: 37.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday 8:15am - 4pm

As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for a School Nurse to join our close-knit team at Bramfield House School located in Halesworth.
Job purpose
To manage the health, emotional well-being, learning and personal development of all pupils through the use of research-based practice, to assess, plan, deliver and evaluate school medical interventions, considering the referral criteria, individual medical needs and personal care plans.
General Responsibilities
The School Nurse will:
- Provide first-aid across the school
- Administer medication to pupils
- Support young person when needed with Type 1 Diabetes; administering insulin
- Support young person when needed with Anaphylaxis
- Develop care plans for students with ongoing conditions
- Contribute to care and learning by undertaking in screening and assessment and participate in reviews
- Liaise with health, therapy and other professional services regarding student care
- Arrange for pupils to attend all health appointments as necessary
- Ensure all medication is obtained, recorded, administered and if required disposed of in accordance with school policies
- Monitor student immunisation records and maintain accurate medical records
- Promote health education and awareness to students and staff throughout the school to improve the health and emotional well-being of all pupils
- Deliver group interventions around mental health, person hygiene and basic first aid
- Assist with the delivery of PSHE, RSE and sexual health for learners
- Manage and maintain first aid kits and defibrillators

Bramfield House School stands in magnificent grounds and gives pupils extraordinary educational opportunities through its innovative, successful teaching approach inside and outside the classroom.
The rural location, just off the main A12 in Suffolk, attracts interest for places across East Anglia to achieve happiness and success for even the most reluctant learners and vulnerable pupils.
The boys are taught in small, informal and relaxed classes, with clear structures in place. Securing a weekly boarding place at Bramfield House will ensure that progress can be accelerated with a 24-hour, wraparound curriculum. The comfortable boarding facilities are located in the main house until the boys reach Years 10 and 11, when the emphasis develops towards semi-independent living, and preparation for life at college, an apprenticeship, university or work.
