Exeter School is the leading co-educational day school in the Southwest, educating over 1,000 pupils aged 3-18. We are looking to appoint a School nurse to join our school, a school of great character, to start immediately.
Excellent pastoral care is an essential part of our school and the School nurse forms a key part of our pastoral support team. As our School nurse, you will be pivotal in promoting the health, safety, and wellbeing of our pupils. From providing first aid and coordinating immunisation sessions to delivering engaging health education as part of our PSHE education programme, you’ll bring expertise, empathy, and enthusiasm to all aspects of the role. You’ll also maintain vital medical records and resources, ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance.
We are looking for a qualified paediatric, general, or mental health nurse (NMC registered) with experience in A&E, school nursing, mental health, or primary healthcare. You’ll thrive in a busy school setting, demonstrating excellent organisation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Your ability to prioritise, adapt, and show empathy will ensure you excel in this varied and rewarding role. Key attributes include a keen eye for detail, accuracy, and the ability to handle sensitive documents/information with confidentiality.
This role is part of our operations and professional services team. This is a term time plus post working 35 hours per week over Monday to Friday for 37.1 weeks per year. This is an onsite role.
