The Tutoring Center of Dubai is looking for an experienced tutor in the field of Science and Mathematics, with a demonstrable track record delivering either UK Curriculum (GCSE & A-level) or International Baccalaureate (IB Diploma SL and HL) materials. Tutors should have experience delivering both Math and at least 1 science subject to at least an AS level / Year 12 standard.

Job description

At The Tutoring Center, we work to empower students to reach their academic potential by creating a bespoke study plan delivered by a team of highly qualified instructors. With a focus on the core skills of English, science, and Mathematics, The Tutoring Center is able to provide unparalleled support for students from the ages of five years old and above.

For this role, additional experience with other examinable curricula (such as the College Board SAT) is advantageous.

Key Requirements:

  1. Experience in working across age ranges, from phonic skills to students preparing to enter college/university.
  2. Able to run small intervention groups and 1:1 sessions for pupils who would benefit from additional support.
  3. Ability to plan and prepare lessons, contributing innovative ideas to further drive engagement and attainment.
  4. Ability to assess and fill gaps in curriculum knowledge.
  5. Proficiency with IT resources.
  6. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year experience in the UAE in a similar role.
  7. Additional experience in one or more internationally examinable curricula is advantageous.
  8. Candidates must be currently residing in the UAE with an attested copy of their highest academic qualifications, police clearance from both the UAE and home country, and two positive work references. 

Qualifications:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree with Math/Science specialization.

Initial long list interviews will be conducted via Zoom. Candidates who successfully reach the short-list will be asked to complete a task relevant to the role with a full interview with key leaders. Where possible, this will be in-person.
