Science Technician - Physics

We are seeking a proactive and dynamic Physics Technician to join our flourishing Physics Department at Godolphin. This role offers an exciting opportunity to assist in enriching the experience our students receive and to inspire the next generation of Physicists. The practical aspects of Physics form an essential role in engaging and inspiring our students, and are an integral part of the outstanding lessons our teachers deliver. As a Physics Technician, you will work closely with not only within the Physics department but also within the Science Faculty as a whole.

We are looking for individuals that can work independently and proactively, managing a wide range of diverse responsibilities and prioritising their time to ensure the smooth running of the department. Beyond this, you will need to effectively manage the safety requirements associated with the storage and utilisation of science equipment, chemicals and radioactive materials. The role presents significant potential for continuing professional development, and affords the appointed post-holder a range of opportunities to develop their skillset beyond the initial expectations of the role in a variety of settings. Ideally, applicants would have relevant experience in a similar role, but primarily we are looking for someone enthusiastic and motivated - able to take the initiative but also work collaboratively as part of a supportive team.
