We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Secondary PE Teacher with the opportunity to take on the role of Head of PE for the right candidate. This is an exciting leadership opportunity for someone who is committed to fostering excellence in physical education while managing and developing a team of PE professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Physical Education lessons to secondary students.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate engaging PE programs in line with curriculum standards.
  • Lead the PE department, overseeing the development of the curriculum and departmental objectives.
  • Coordinate and organize school sports events, competitions, and extracurricular activities.
  • Manage the department’s resources, budget, and staff development needs.
  • Work closely with school leadership to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.

Head of PE Responsibilities (for the right candidate):

  • Provide leadership and strategic direction for the PE department.
  • Mentor and support PE teachers, promoting professional growth.
  • Collaborate with other departments to promote the benefits of physical education across the school.
  • Lead and organize the sports calendar and ensure the effective management of PE facilities.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Physical Education or a related field (teaching qualification preferred).
  • Experience teaching secondary PE, with the ability to lead a department (Head of PE experience is a plus).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students and staff.
  • Knowledge of national and international sports regulations and standards.
