DBIS seeks to appoint an enthusiastic, qualified and successful Secondary School teacher of Mathematics, and second in department, who is willing to commit to working in a stimulating and dynamic international educational environment. This is an excellent opportunity to work with the Head of Mathematics to continually develop Mathematics in the school within a part-teaching, part-leadership role. This is an exciting time to join DBIS as the Secondary phase and Mathematics department are expanding, offering opportunities for growth and development within the school.
To be considered, it is essential to have:
- A minimum of two years’ experience in a full-time class teaching role;
- A bachelor’s (or equivalent) degree in Mathematics or a closely related field;
- A relevant postgraduate teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS);
- Experience teaching (I)GCSE and A Level Mathematics to a high quality (applications from IB Mathematics teachers will also be accepted).
It is desirable to have:
- A master's or postgraduate qualification in a related subject;
- Experience working with EAL students (English as an Additional Language);
- Experience or interest in being an examiner for (I)GCSE and/or A Level.
All new teachers are offered two-year renewable contracts and a competitive compensation package, with a gratuity of 18.75%, an additional monthly cash allowance, remuneration of school fees for one child and full medical and dental insurance for the employee.
