Bangkok Patana School seeks an enthusiastic, compassionate and highly skilled Social and Emotional Counsellor to support the mental health and wellbeing of students in our Secondary School. The responsibilities within this dynamic role are wide-ranging. These include providing targeted intervention, advocating for students, and playing a central role in the safeguarding of young people. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with pastoral teams, academic departments, families, and external specialists. Creating a circle of support around our students is central to the Patana model of care. In addition to these core responsibilities, the Counsellor will contribute to the development and delivery of a high-quality social and emotional curriculum. They will also develop and lead workshops for parents, faculty, and other community stakeholders.

A pre-requisite for this role is the completion of a rigorous therapeutic training. This will combine with substantial experience working with young people facing diverse social and emotional challenges. Key attributes include a robust counselling skillset, a track record of delivering innovative and interactive education in this area, and a positive, adaptable, and creative mindset. A proven ability to collaborate effectively within teams and organisations is essential.
