Job overview

Van Gogh Primary, which is part of the Dunraven Educational Trust, has an exciting new opportunity for a passionate SEN Learning Support Assistant to join its new Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) provision at the start of November.

Working under the guidance of the Inclusion Lead and the SEMH Resource Base Facilitator, you will assist in providing a programme of support, offering bespoke work, care and support to enable access to learning for students with social, emotional and mental health challenges. You will work collaboratively with students and families to promote positive behaviours for learning and to help students resolve and overcome personal challenges that hinder them from accessing mainstream teaching and learning.

This is a full-time (35 hours per week), fixed-term contract for 12 months, term time only.

Van Gogh Primary is delighted to be part of Dunraven Educational Trust, and together, we are focused on developing an exciting, dynamic and progressive community focused on improving the outcomes for children and their families. The Trust's overarching aim is excellence for and from everyone. We are clear that this supports the development of children and young people (and adults) who are resilient, courteous, optimistic, hardworking, self-disciplined, enthusiastic and creative.
