This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Accounts Officer at Arcadia British School in Dubai. The Senior Accounts Officer will be responsible for managing financial statements, utilizing analytical skills, handling finance-related tasks, providing exceptional customer service, and communicating effectively within the school community.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a relevant role within Finance Department
- Knowledge in general accounts office procedures, policies and methods
- Experience working in a multi-cultural environment is a plus
- Experienced in using MS Office and Financial Software Systems.
- Strong verbal and written command of the English language.
- Excellent organisation and interpersonal skills.
- Solid communication skills and attention to detail.
- Able to multitask and cope with a degree of pressure at peak times
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Month End/Closing Activities: Preparing monthly profitability report, Monthly MIS and other various reports related to the month closing.
- Payroll: Preparing and processing the monthly payroll on time in collaboration with the HR department.
- Preparing VAT Reports: Preparing the relevant VAT Registers after reviewing the transaction and ensuring that it complies with the FTA requirement.
- Revenue: Ensuring the revenues are recognised and accounted for properly as per the IAS.
- Budgeting: Check forecast and keep track of approved annual budgets in terms of student enrolment, staff headcount, incomes, expenses, provisions
- Other Income: Accounting, recording, tracking, reporting, and safe-keeping of all incomes
- Reporting: Expenses/incomes to be charged in the correct budget head/s. Summarize and reconcile current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports
- Bank Reconciliation: Monthly tallying of all receivables in the system
- Any other ad hoc responsibilities assigned by the Finance Head
