This position of Senior Pastoral Lead is a central role in our pastoral team. The successful candidate will lead a team of associate pastoral staff dedicated to ensuring that the students at Hartford Church of England High School have outstanding attitudes to learning and display excellent behaviour. Pastoral leadership is imperative to the calm and orderly nature of our school: a constant presence around school, challenging and supporting students to uphold our HART values based on a Christian foundation of love and truth; working with young people to regulate their behaviour. This role is pivotal in the development of our Behaviour and Attitudes Policy at Hartford Church of England High School.

Hartford enjoys fantastic transport links, being close to both the A49 and A556 with fast links to both the M6 and M56. There are two mainline railway stations within two minutes of the school and Manchester International Airport is only 25 minutes away. Many parents utilise the excellent transport links to work in Manchester, Chester, Liverpool, Warrington or beyond.

The school is situated in a beautiful part of Cheshire providing easy access to areas for walking, riding, cycling, sailing and canoeing. The National Parks of North Wales, the Peak District, the Lake District are all within easy transport reach.

The school has about 1010 pupils and is located in Hartford, Northwich, Cheshire. It recently became a voluntary aided school.

The Hartford Church of England School’s motto is: “Caritas et Veritas”, which means “love and truth. It is drawn from the writing of the apostle John in the New Testament.
