Job overview

About us

Mater Ecclesiae is a new and growing Catholic Multi Academy Trust in Preston, Lancashire. We currently consist of nine primary schools and one secondary school. In line with the Bishop’s vision for schools across the Diocese of Lancaster we are due to grow to seventeen schools before the end of this academic year; when fully formed we will consist of twenty primary and three secondary schools.

As part of our growth plan, we are now looking to appoint our first Senior Trust IT Technician. You will support our Schools, wider Trust, and external partners with a safe and effective IT environment, which is crucial to our ability to deliver the Bishop’s vision.

About the Role

As the founding Senior Trust IT Technician, you will work with the Trust IT Business Partner and the central team to provide day to day operational support. This is an interesting role where you will work in schools across Preston, and will also have the opportunity to get involved in Trust wide initiatives as we are just beginning our journey in implementing our new IT strategy.

You will enjoy providing an essential service that makes a key contribution to our ability to provide a secure IT learning environment, and building relationships within our close knit community.

You will be resilient, and as enthusiastic as we are about the future of our Trust, appreciate the privilege of making a key contribution to setting the scene for the future success of our Trust, and be able to see the bigger picture.

Safeguarding

Our Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share the commitment and undergo an enhanced DBS check. The successful candidate will be appointed under the terms and conditions of a CES contract which they will be required to sign. The employer will be the Mater Ecclesiae Catholic Multi Academy Trust. Applications must be made on the CES/Mater Ecclesiae Support Staff application form.

How to apply

Please take the time to read the full advert and the vacancy information pack, and please do contact us before the closing date for an informal chat if you have any questions about the role. If you decide to apply, ensure that you complete the supporting statement in your application to let us know how your experience and personal qualities make you suitable for the role.
