Job overview

We are looking for a dynamic, vibrant and experienced Inclusion teacher to lead our team in late August 2025. The post provides an exciting opportunity for a highly driven and creative teacher to continue to develop the school's provision and standards in its approach to Inclusion with the aim of all children achieving their potential in a truly international environment, whilst also experiencing the wonders and beauties of Kenya. All teachers are expected to contribute to the extra-curricular clubs and activities programme. Experience or a particular interest in sport is welcomed.

Braeburn Garden Estate is a leading International School and is part of the biggest group of schools in the region. There are approximately 800 children on the site (with three classes in most year groups) set on an attractive 32 acre compound outside of Nairobi and close to the UN and other embassies and NGOs. Our school is all-through with provision for 2 year olds up to, and including, IB (where we deliver the diploma and career-related programmes prior to university). We pride ourselves in being passionate about high standards and expectations but within a supportive, friendly and student-focused environment.

The school is committed to safeguarding children and young people. Shortlisted applicants will be asked for an ICPC or the equivalent from the country of current employment and any other countries within the last 5 years.

The successful candidate will receive a 2-year renewable contract, medical cover, membership of the school pension scheme, accommodation and a competitive salary.

Interested applicants should email their letter of application and CV with the details of three referees (including your current headteacher) to the Primary and Secondary Headteachers:

john.stansfield@braeburn.ac.ke and rob.jackson@braeburn.ac.ke

Applications will be considered as soon as they are received and the school reserves the right to appoint before the closing date of the advert. Please note that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
