We are looking to recruit two highly motivated individuals as Sixth Form Mentors and role models. The successful candidates will help support students to gain high levels of engagement in student learning and aspirations. Duties will include: administering supervised study sessions, mentoring specific students, supporting student wellbeing and accompanying trips.
We are ideally looking for candidates who can work 36 hours per week, term time only. However, as an employer, we support flexible working and are open to discussing part-time options with the right candidate.

With regards to Personal Development, we pride ourselves on our commitment to CPD. Our staff is supported to access National Professional Qualifications and receives Thrive training. There are opportunities to work collaboratively across all five schools in the Trust (both primary and secondary) as well as with the central Trust team. The Trust looks to provide opportunities for growth for colleagues within the Trust.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Holds at least GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics, with a good degree in a relevant subject.
- Experience working with young people or improving achievement in educational settings is desirable.
- Demonstrates excellent literacy, numeracy and communication skills; works well independently and as part of a team, and meets deadlines consistently.
- Highly motivated, enthusiastic and dedicated to raising student achievement and self-esteem while respecting their diverse backgrounds.
- Builds effective mentoring relationships, employs strong listening and feedback skills, and helps students overcome barriers to learning.
- Understands safeguarding, champions inclusion and promotes best practices aligned with the ethos of the school.

We have a long tradition of using research to develop our teaching and learning to the benefit of our students. The vast majority of our students in the Sixth Form continue to university at 18.
