Job overview

A Social and Emotional Counsellor is required for an August 2025 start, supporting students in the infant school at Dulwich College Kindergarten School (DUCKS), Singapore. This role is part of Student Support Services within the College.

 

‘Students come first’ is our guiding pillar. The Counsellor will work as part of the team to support students' wellbeing holistically, through classroom-based lessons, small group sessions, and 1:1 support. Additionally, there may be opportunities to collaborate with the Junior School Counsellors to provide development and support for parents and teachers, as well as assist with students’ transitions. They will work closely with the Child Protection Officer and Safeguarding teams as well as the DUCKS Senior Leadership Team and the Director of Student Support Services, ensuring that detailed records are kept and shared as required.

 

The right candidate will be a highly committed team player with the drive, energy and passion to develop this forward-looking school. They will be proactive in visiting classrooms, working with groups of children and taking an overview of all factors affecting each child’s wellbeing. Applicants must be willing to lead by example and play a full part in the College’s pastoral care and extra-curricular programme.
