Are you passionate about supporting young people and adults to achieve their full potential, advocating for their additional needs and helping them to breakdown their barriers to learning? Do you have experience of working with learners with Dyslexia within a post 16 environment? Do you have the qualifications and experience to support learners with Dyslexia and to provide advice and training to academic staff?

The Additional Learning Support & Inclusion Department are recruiting a Specialist Support Practitioner - Dyslexia Specialist. The main duties of the role are to work proactively with learners with Dyslexia and to provide information, support and guidance to academic staff working with these learners. You will have up to date knowledge of assistive technology and will advise, support and train staff in the most up to date technologies. Experience in the role or similar is necessary, as is a flexible proactive approach, good organisation and communication skills and a thorough demonstrable knowledge of Safeguarding and Professional Boundaries. The most vital attributes are enthusiasm, flexibility, patience. You will need to be conscientious and dedicated to making a difference to our learner's educational journey.
