Teacher of Business

0.8  FTE – 1.0 FTE dependant on successful candidate

Please note 0.8 FTE hours are expected to be worked over 5 short days; timetable dependent

This role will involve teaching a range of Level 3 BTEC Business courses and units, requiring knowledge of the business curriculum especially in some of the following areas; International Business; Exploring Business; Developing a Marketing Campaign and Investigating Customer Service and Enterprise, Finance or HR. There may be an opportunity to teach some A1 Business for a candidate with the right experience.

The Business and IT Faculty deliver A level and BTEC courses. We offer A levels in Business and Computing as well as BTEC Level 3 in Business, ICT and Travel. As a faculty, we have a specialist team of 15 staff who deliver to over 650 students in college, supporting our learners to achieve highly and develop qualifications and skills to flourish in their next steps. We have a specialist Business team delivering the following: BTEC L3 Business (extended certificate, diploma and extended diploma) as well as A Level Business. There are currently over 500 students in the Business area. We also have specialist IT, Computing and Travel teams.  Our faculty works collaboratively, embracing our HNC ASPIRE values and delivering strongly on our HNC Curriculum Intent to ensure our students receive an enjoyable and challenging learning experience and realise their full potential.
