Part time - (0.5 FTE) - A full time role could be considered for candidates offering additional subjects.
Pangbourne College is looking to recruit an outstanding Teacher of Economics to work part time in our highly successful department. Economics is among the most popular A Level subjects, regularly attracting 25% or more of the cohort. You will be an excellent classroom practitioner, bringing passion and enthusiasm to the role. Having the ability to teach proactive and focused lessons for A Level Economics, you will hold a relevant degree and teaching qualification along with the desire and dedication to ensure high standards of pupil progression and attainment.
As a Teacher of Economics you will deliver engaging lessons that inspire students and be responsible for planning and implementing effective teaching strategies and assessing student progress. You will also have the ability to create a stimulating learning environment and adapt your teaching methods to meet the needs of students. Ideally located
The campus is set in 230 acres of beautiful West Berkshire countryside, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and yet we are just 10 minutes from Junction 12 of the M4 motorway. We are also on the mainline rail network between Oxford (30 minutes) and London Paddington (45 minutes). Daily school transport services are available from Ascot, Basingstoke, Henley/Wargrave, Maidenhead, Newbury and Wantage.

In November 2019, the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) rated the college as ‘Excellent’ for both the academic and personal development of its pupils. It said: ‘Pupils demonstrate exemplary attitudes to learning: they respond to academic challenge with energy and purpose.’
