Wollaston School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic part time Food Technology teacher, with the ability to teach throughout the school from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5. ECT’s applications are welcomed as we offer a fully sup-ported induction programme with tailored CPD including regular subject specific mentoring.

The successful candidate will be an innovative, reflective practitioner who can demonstrate the willingness to adapt and learn. We are looking for an individual with high expectations and standards who can deliver great lessons across all key stages. An additional strength would be an approach to offering a creative, engaging approach to the delivery of the cur-riculum and planning both within the classroom and also in the wider outdoor learning environment .

We have a highly successful team of specialist teachers who are passionate and forward thinking and have proven excel-lent exam success year on year. Food Technology is a highly popular and successful option choice and our students are en-thusiastic with strong uptake at both key stage 4 and key stage 5, therefore the ability to teach up to A-Level would be advantageous though not essential.

Wollaston School is a semi rural school with great connections to neighbouring towns and cities. We have a large open site and all departments are well resourced. The Food Technology department has excellent facilities featuring 3 excellent food rooms, on eof which is brand new this year. We are an ambitious school with staff and students equally aligned to that agenda, however we pride ourselves on our warm Wollaston welcome and are highly protective of our values of kindness and community. Wollaston School is a large, rural community school located in a village setting about 15 minutes drive from Northampton. The student intake draws on nearby villages and the towns of Earls Barton, Wellingborough, and Irchester. We have over 1400 students on roll with approximately 240 students in the Sixth Form. The school is over-subscribed. Wollaston School was rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted in May 2023.
