Key responsibilities:

  • Have high expectations of learners to ensure they achieve their full educational potential
  • Set challenging teaching and learning objectives which are relevant to all students in your classes
  • Select and prepare a range of resources that take in to account all students’ learning needs, languages and cultural backgrounds
  • Apply a range of teaching strategies to deliver learning objectives and incorporate inclusive strategies that meet the needs of all learners
  • Make effective use of a range of assessment monitoring and recording strategies to assess the learning needs of your students in order to set challenging learning objectives and plan for future teaching. 


Pay range: Main pay scale - M1 £31,650


Qualifications and Skills:

  •  Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  •  Proven experience in delivering outstanding teaching and learning.
  •  Passion for creating an inclusive and inspiring learning environment.
  •  Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to the academy’s values and ethos.

Our Academy

DSLV is an ambitious, all-through academy for 3 to 19 year olds in Daventry, It is fabulous to witness their full journey as our children grow into young adults. We set no limits on learning and our pupils and staff are challenged to make the most of their undoubted potential.

A historic market town in beautiful Northamptonshire countryside, Daventry is home to two E-ACT academies that enthusiastically collaborate together. There is plenty to keep residents occupied in this vibrant town including the popular Daventry Country Park and Reservoir which is perfect for countryside walks and picturesque cycle paths.

Leaders who are responsible for safeguarding ensure that pupils are safe, and that those who are potentially vulnerable receive appropriate support. Children in the early years make good progress in their learning due to the effective support that they receive from their teachers. Students in the sixth form achieve well due to the appropriateness of the courses that they study, and the close support that they receive from their teachers and the head of sixth form.”
