We are offering an exciting opportunity for Teacher of Health and Social Care to come and join our expanding Allied Health department. We are seeking an individual with a strong subject knowledge and who is passionate to teach across vocational Health & Social Care and T-Level Health courses. Candidates with a nursing background are particularly encouraged to apply to bring their expertise to our growing T-Level Health programme.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities, with an allowance up to £5,000pa offered to the right candidate. Specific responsibilities will be agreed upon appointment.

The College has excellent in-house training programs for Early Career Teachers and aspiring leaders, ongoing CPD opportunities in-house, part of Norvic College Group, SFCA Group and AoC group and externally, and we would support individuals who would be taking their first steps into teaching. John Leggott College is a mixed, selective, non-denominational, general further education college situated in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire. It is a 16-plus institution based on a single modern campus close to the town centre, with good access to surrounding rural areas. There are around 1,700 learners at the college, between the ages of 16-19, studying a range of academic and vocational courses.

The college was founded in 1958 as John Leggott Grammar School. The sixth form was established in 1968 in the midst of a Scunthorpe education reorganisation.
