We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and passionate Mathematics Teacher to join our vibrant school community of All Saints’ Catholic Voluntary Academy on a maternity cover basis, starting from January 2025. This is a temporary role, offering the opportunity to inspire and challenge students to achieve their full potential in mathematics.

We are part of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Multi-Academy Trust, bringing together the 36 Catholic Primary and Secondary schools in Lincolnshire, Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire.

Contract Details:

  • Position: Mathematics Teacher (Maternity Cover)
  • Contract Type: Temporary
  • Work Pattern: 0.6 FTE (3 days per week)
  • Start Date: January 2025
  • Salary: £18,000 - £27,915 per annum (MPS/UPS)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the national curriculum for Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Assess and track students' progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to the wider maths department, supporting curriculum development and participating in departmental meetings.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, maintaining high expectations for student behaviour and progress.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to ensure student success.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • •Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills status (QTLS)
  • Has experience teaching mathematics at secondary level.
  • Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and a passion for mathematics.
  • Has strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Is committed to promoting a positive learning experience for all students.
  • Can work effectively as part of a team and independently.

All Saints’ Catholic Academy is a mixed, non-selective Roman Catholic secondary school with sixth form situated in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. The school has approximately 1,500 students between the ages of 11-18. All Saints’ Catholic Academy is part of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Multi Academy Trust.

Formerly All Saints RC Comprehensive School, All Saints’ Catholic Academy opened in 1974 and converted to academy status in 2014.
