Teacher of MFL - Spanish - Maternity Cover

We seek to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic graduate teacher of Modern Foreign Languages - specifically Spanish to KS5 and with French, German or Italian to KS4 advantageous - from December or January 2025. The post is maternity cover. This position is suitable for either an experienced teacher or someone new to the profession.  We welcome applications from candidates seeking to work full time or part time.

Language College Status has had a profound impact on the school and all students take two languages at GCSE from a wide range. Furthermore, all students take at least one MFL at Key Stage 5 as part of their study of the International Baccalaureate. The MFL Department has effective partnerships with other secondary and local primary schools. The department comprises 16 well qualified subject specialists and contributes significantly to the vibrant extra-curricular life of the school through the many trips, clubs and excursions it delivers.  

We currently offer French, German, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Japanese and Mandarin. The successful candidate will have the ability to teach Spanish to Key Stage 5.  It would be an advantage to also offer French, German or Italian to Key Stage 4.
