We are seeking an inspiring individual to join our highly successful Psychology & Social Sciences Department. The ideal candidate will be expected to teach to an excellent standard, serve as a role model for our students, and demonstrate a commitment to outstanding teaching and learning for all. They will inspire and instil confidence in the girls, guiding them towards university and beyond. Our students are encouraged to take full advantage of the many extracurricular opportunities available both within and outside of school. Therefore, it is essential for the candidate to show a willingness to engage in the co-curricular life of the school.

 

 

St Augustine's Priory is set on 13 acres of beautiful grounds with magnificent views. We are a leading Catholic, independent day school for girls aged 3-18 (with boys in the Nursery). The four parts of the school (Pre-Preps, Preps, Seniors and Sixth Form) are located on the same site.

Ensuring the protection of children from abuse, neglect, and exploitation, while also addressing broader issues that may endanger them, is crucial. This involves creating a safe environment in both the classroom and playground, encouraging good behaviour and discipline, and fostering positive relationships with students.

 

The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. The School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions on a self-declaration form in advance of attending an interview (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children."
