Parkwood E-ACT Academy is seeking to appoint a Teacher of Science to:


Teach exceptional lessons that engage and challenge all students, whilst creating a supportive and stimulating learning environment in the classroom. To make a significant contribution to the values and the ethos of the school and actively promote and uphold all school policies.

 

  • Key responsibilities:


Reporting to the Head of Faculty, this post holder will be accountable for;


  • Have high expectations of learners to ensure they achieve their full educational potential
  • Set challenging teaching and learning objectives which are relevant to all students in your classes
  • Have knowledge of a range of approaches to assessment, including questioning, oral assessment and self-assessment and the importance of formative assessment.
  • Make effective use of a range of assessment monitoring and recording strategies to assess the learning needs of your students in order to set challenging learning objectives and plan for future teaching.
  • Know how to identify and support learners affected by changes or difficulties in their personal circumstances. 

 

Pay range: MPS - £31,650 - £43,607

 

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in delivering outstanding teaching and learning.
  • Passion for creating an inclusive and inspiring learning environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to the academy’s values and ethos.
